Francois Demange aka Metsa Nihue (Good Wind) is known for having trained in the Amazonian art of healing with plant medicine. He spent 15 years living in the Northeast of the Peruvian jungle, what is called the Eyebrows of The Amazon. His teachers are Orlando Chujandama (Quechua-Lamista), Guillermo Arevalo (Shipibo) and Eusebio and Walter Cunachi (Awajun).

Francois/Metsa has today more than 1,000 ceremonies under his belt as a practitioner and has developed a cross-cultural approach where indigenous wisdom is integrated for the Western mind.

Ayahuasca Preparation, Integration

Meet François Demange

François is an internationally known healer and practitioner who has studied Vegetalismo (traditional Amazonian plant medicine) for almost 30 years with the Shipibo and Quechua Lamista people. He’s acknowledged as a medicine-man by many traditional indigenous and Native elders from around the world and has made relations or been adopted by many of these communities.

François has a Masters degree in Anthropology from the University of East London and is a teacher, author and founder of the non-profit Sacred Ways Foundation. He’s been a speaker and advocate for indigenous and traditional medicine ways at medical and psychedelic conferences and has written two books including his autobiography "De l'ombre à la lumière" (from the Shadow to the Light) and Ceremonies, Visions, Healing: The Path of Sacred Plants, both currently available in French.

His mission is to help human beings evolve in our capacity to be in communion with all of Life, to remember that we are all related, and to be an ambassador for traditional and indigenous wisdom traditions in our contemporary times.
