Being & Becoming:
The Journey
A 7 week series of online gatherings
We begin again May 9th, 2025
Transforming your life with the language revealed by entheogens, plant consciousness and indigenous wisdom

We are living in a time of great crisis: of meaning, of purpose and of identity. We are dealing with complex, nuanced, historical, and traumatic issues that don't have a clear solution. We have come to the limits of our analytic post modern minds.
Many of us are turning to psychedelics and entheogens as they have an amazing capacity to re-awaken our sense of non-separation, togetherness and belonging. The space we enter under their influence is actually just a re-member-ing of what is, has been, and will remain so: a reality where space is felt as alive.
During these journey-experiences there is a dazzling and commonly shared encounter with this new landscape of aliveness, within which you feel a sense of One-ness and connection with Everything.
This embodied acquaintance with the Sacred, with the Holy, and with the interconnected web of life is deeply compelling. It’s alive. It is Life. And this relationship can be rooted and cultivated in daily practice even after the entheogenic experience fades.
We are offering a 7 week series of gatherings where you - human being, practitioner, guide, enthusiast, beginner and observer, can receive an orientation and build a relationship with this rich and textured landscape of the space around you.
Based on what we’ve learned and received through 30+ years of journey training, cultivation and immersion in indigenous and Native cosmovision, a decade plus of deep ecology and emergent dialogue work, we bring these transmissions to share with you to co-create a cultivated awakening in community. Together we’ll integrate and weave these teachings into the reality of everyday life, in the space-energy we live in.
This offering, as with all the content and materials at Metsa Series, is intended and designed to support our non-profit organization Sacred Ways Foundation, where we are directly supporting indigenous medicine families to keep their ancient traditions alive and thriving.
What will you experience?
You will learn to build your capacity to ACTIVATE, INTERACT and INTEGRATE a psychedelic or journey experience from a place of non-separation.
You will be encouraged to explore your inner landscape and the space between us, discovering things that may be discombobulating and new.
We will remember and practice ancestral ways of healing and weave them into our contemporary consciousness, in a way that is relevant and authentic, igniting something perhaps long forgotten.
You will be a part of creating and receiving the nourishment that comes from spending time in community with others who’re yearning for and building the path towards a more beautiful world.
Much of what journey-work with psychedelics has shown us is that
the world around us is neither dormant, mute or passive.
How to hold on to this awareness of the awakened landscape and our relationship to it?
How to engage with the words and symbols of our shared language to amplify and support this connection?
Our gatherings over these 7 weeks will follow a generative set of teachings and transmissions considering these questions and more as they emerge:
How do you engage with journey space?
How do you calibrate yourself to prepare for a radical frame shift?
How do you tend to and till the truths and awakenings within you and others?
How do you cultivate being the observer and also engage meaningfully with the intelligence of plant medicines?
How do you transform disorientation into reorientation, for yourself and those you may be working with?
This is what we will collectively explore, inquire, conspire, and adventure.
We do not call this a course, although we could, because we hope to disengage ourselves from the conditioning of the educational model that creates expectations of a syllabus, materials, lectures, passive student roles, hierarchical power dynamics and a soul-killing linear process focused on memorizing.
This is a series of gatherings and direct transmissions. We aim to feed, feel, and expand ourselves empathically.
We desire to come to new collective senses and co-generate new and remembered practices of place-making in partnership with the more-than-human world.
We choose to feel and be alive again. We endeavor to lean into the exquisite, create together, and remember the places that hold us.

Meet François Demange
François Demange, or Metsa, as he is known to many, is internationally known in the field of Amazonian plant spirit medicine. He calls himself a vegetalista (vegetalist) due to his direct relationship with plants in South America. The Shipibo people of Peru call him an Onaya (medicine man). Many call him a “shaman,” but it’s a term he doesn’t promote.
Through ritual, prayer, ceremony, and song, he acts as an inter-dimensional traveler, a walker between worlds, helping people connect to themselves, to the invisible power of nature, and to the ineffable.
His journeys in the spirit realm began with music. As a teenager, eager to become a percussionist, he traveled the world and immersed himself in everything from Rastafarian beats and Indian mystical music, to Indonesian gamelan and Latin-Brazilian rhythms.
In 1996, seeking his own healing from addiction, he was introduced to Amazonian plant medicine and taken under the wing of a master medicine man from the Shipibo-Conibo community. Over the next two decades, he was trained in their ways, following strict plant diets in the jungle and learning the art of singing to heal.
Building on that initial training, he further immersed himself and developed his skill sets over the years through indigenous traditions from the Amazon (Quechua Lamista, Awajun), the Andes, the Native American Plains, and Gabon.
Today, his practice is focused on using the universal languages of singing and music to help people reconnect with the sense that we are all, in fact, connected.
Meet Dr. Kelly Jennings
Kelly is dedicated to the evolution of our planetary consciousness and culture through radical self-care, transformational individual and group healing experiences, and shamanic Qi Gong transmission. She's mother to a mixed family of 5, daughter to a Chilean mamá and Aruban raised father and wife to a renegade French/Peruvian. She's a naturopathic physician and Chinese medicine practitioner, informed by two decades of ritual practice and training with indigenous healers from the Shipibo, Mayan, Moshica, Daoist and Quechua traditions. Her work is inspired by this question: How are we becoming the elders our children are yearning for?
